Dear Nina and Frank,

Thank you once again designating the children and youth at CHEO as the recipients of your event. As you requested your donation of $12,610.00 has been directed to Scoliosis Research. Rest assured that your efforts are making a difference to the lives of our young patients.

We are truly blessed here in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec to have a world class pediatric health care facility like the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. As our communities continue to grow, and more and more families rely on CHEO, support form generous people like you takes on an even greater significance.

Health care for children is different. Healing little bodies and minds requires specialized equipment, research and programs. It also requires specially trained doctors, nurses and other hospital staff. Your efforts help make it happen.

You make a difference and on behalf of all the children, youth and families who come through CHEO's doors, I extend a very warm thank you.

Sincerely,

Norma Lamont
Vice-President, Community Development

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Saab:

On behalf of the Division of Pediatrics Orthopedics and the Department of Surgery at CHEO, I would like to express our sincerest appreciation to you for the generous contribution you made to Scoliosis Research through the Research Foundation. We have several projects ongoing concerning deformity, one of which is assessing the effect of a new drug, Aprotinin in the reduction of blood loss in spinal surgery for Scoliosis. This is a double blind study that involves a number of children undergoing surgery with Scioliosis and we are hopeful that this will be proven to be a successful medication that will assist in minimizing transfusions for children undergoing treatment of their Scoliosis.

It was very thoughtful and generous of you to highlight Scoliosis in the superb opening reception that you had arranged for your business, and again, I appreciated the invitation and your superb hospitality!

Sincerely,
