Saab Salon Spa is an AVEDA Lifestyle Salon & Spa located in downtown Ottawa, Canada. All of our stylists are committed professionals who work collaboratively to meet your beauty needs. We are constantly educating ourselves to stay at the cutting edge of fashion. We specialize in natural highlights and colour corrections. Bring us your failed colour experiments (especially if they’re of the drug store variety)!
We are also environmental aware. As an AVEDA Lifestyle Salon & Spa, we use and recommend natural hair and skincare products that are organically grown, whenever possible, gentle on your hair and at the forefront of fashion. Frank Saab, artistic director for more than 20 years, recently expanded his salon enterprise, the ultra-sleek SAAB Salon Spa which opened for business on July 15th 2002.
The new space features a loft-style interior with high-gloss hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, open ceilings with stylish silver duct-work and Italian made artistically molded wash basins. A hip espresso bar completes the atmosphere and welcomes clients as they ease into their pampering experience. Having experienced renowned success in hair care, Frank Saab expanded and renovated the new salon to add an AVEDA Lifestyle Salon & Spa.
Now in addition to innovative professional hairstylists, spa services include facial, hand, foot and back treatments, waxing, therapeutic massage, make-up application, gel nails. Spa services are administered either personally or under the direction of Estheticians who have received training at the renowned AVEDA Institute. AVEDA has been in existence since 1978 and has gained worldwide authority in the concept of environmentally conscious health and beauty products through the use of plant-based petrochemical-free ingredients.
AVEDA, founded by Horst Rechelacher, believes in using renewable resources, while practicing sustainable development and constructive environmental practices. They employ innovative methods with a commitment to environmental and social responsibility and their goal is to set new standards for social practice. For some products, AVEDA not only hires indigenous peoples to harvest their crops but they also donate a portion of products proceeds back to that community.
SAAB Salon Spa is located at 376 Bank Street (downtown Ottawa.). SAAB Salon Spa is open 6 days a week (Mondays and Tuesdays from 9-6pm, Wednesday-Friday from 9-8pm, and Saturday from 9-6pm)
